If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Apostle Harry Das message to Chrisco Fellowship Church members in Kenya:

Dear friends and brethren in Kenya,

In 1977 when I first came to Kenya for a short visit, God gave me two dreams concerning tribal bitterness and hatred amongst Kenyans which developed into brutal killings and slaughtering in the Nation.  I also saw giant demon forces that were lying dormant and waiting to be awakened in order to influence people in Kenya to commit destructive and murderous acts.  These dreams were very real and horrifying.  With a very heavy heart, I began to pray about the situation.  To my surprise, on the last day of my 2 week journey, God clearly confirmed to me that I must move with my family to Kenya.  My son John was only 4 years old at that time.  We have been working in Kenya ever since.

My purpose for coming to Kenya was as follows:

1.  To pray for the whole Nation of Kenya - especially for peace and that God would show mercy to the Nation

2.  To help all believers through "Deeper Life" teaching of the Word of God in order for them to come into spiritual maturity and Christ-likeness

3.  To help foster unity amongst Pastors, Churches, Spiritual Leaders and all Believers who God sent my way

While I was there I soon discovered that God has a mandate for Kenya to carry the flames of a "Revival of Righteousness" and New Testament teachings to the Nations of Africa.  Hence, from that time I gave myself for the laying of the foundation for this mighty move of God starting with a handful of people that came to pray with us and listen to our teachings which began on the balcony of All Saints Cathedral church in Nairobi in 1978.  I also began the process of training and raising up intercessors.  During the transition of government from President Jomo Kenyatta to President Daniel Arap Moi, I organized and led 90 days of continuous prayer and consecration for a peaceful transition, which God granted.  From that time until now, early morning weekday prayer meetings which we called "Morning Glory" and Lunch hour prayer meetings were born.  People from all denominations would attend.  This began a beautiful expression of unity and harmony within the body of Christ and amongst the tribes in Kenya.  The "Deeper Life" teaching ministry also continued during these prayer meetings and at some evening sessions as well.  Those who have experienced our ministry will tell you that there was and continues to be a tremendous feeling of love, unity and harmony in our meetings that cross all denominations and tribal lines.

During the past 3 decades, the dreams that I had of National unrest and bloodshed have erupted at least 3 times.  At each of those times, we were able to pray and fast for the country to quench the National unrest.  The same power of prayer and fasting we used to stop the stoning of the city of Nairobi and to break a deadlock on Parliament that existed for many months, is still alive and well today.  There have been times I have been taken to parts of Kenya where there were burnings and killings and I planted my feet in those villages and prayed that the killing and burning would stop.  And when I and other brethren did plant our feet and prayed, the killing and burnings stopped.  To God be all of the Glory!!!

Kenya's Divine Destiny...

Part of what I have sensed prophetically for the nation of Kenya is that Kenya has been chosen by God to bear the sound teaching of the Church, the Kingdom of God, and the Five Fold Ministry throughout the continent of Africa.  (The Five Fold Ministry refers to the foundational offices of the New Testament Church - Apostles, Prophets, Pastors, Teachers and Evangelists mentioned in Ephesians 4:11).   This is to be empowered by the outpouring of the Holy Spirit which will lead us into the End Time Revival which will come in order to prepare the church for the second coming of Christ and to enable Believers to Evangelize the world.   A Revival is a period of renewed interest in God.  It is a tremendous move of God's Spirit causing people in an area or a nation to repent and turn from their sins, placing God as the central focus of their lives.  It brings real spiritual and moral change to a whole Nation.   Over the years this Mandate for Kenya has been confirmed by many Kenyans and foreign ministers of the Gospel who have declared that God has chosen Kenya for this specific purpose or mission.  This mission is no man's political agenda, but God's agenda.  Kenya cannot afford to fail God in fulfilling her God-given destiny.

Concerning Prophecy and Prophetic dreams and visions...

In my understanding of prophetic dreams and the ministry of prophecy, I am convinced that those who are unschooled on the subject of prophecy would be able to believe in prophecy only when they see the prophecies come to pass.  Those who are versed on the subject of prophecy should be more aware of whether a man is a true prophet or a woman is a true Prophetess by the leading of the Spirit even before the fulfillment of the prophecy.  They should feel some sort of confirmation in their heart.  I have sought throughout the years, while working in the country of Kenya, not to major on prophecy or the Apostolic ministry (Although I am a proven Prophet and an Apostle), but I have sought to put the Character Building truths of the Word of God and the Mandate for the nation as top priority.  This is to bring the Nation into Godly awareness and prepare Kenya for Her God given destiny on the Continent.

Those of us who God uses in the realm of the prophetic ministry, realize that none of us are totally free from the invasion of our own thinking, concepts, race, tribal feelings, or reasoning that may come in to taint or inject themselves into the purity of the prophetic word.  The great Prophet Nathan that went to King David, gave him a wrong prophecy by telling him that he could build a house for God, because through all human reasoning Nathan saw David as a Godly man who was the best person to build the House of God.  It was in the night that God gave Nathan the dream that David would not build the house of the Lord, but his son Solomon would do it.  Nathan was speaking from human reasoning and not divine revelation from God.  (David had too much blood on his hands).  Nathan had to correct what he said to Kind David.  Hence a prophet is not void of human influences that can cause him to give an imperfect prophecy.  Such type of imperfection does not make someone a false prophet, it makes them to be an unskillful prophet and a human that is subject to error.  The very few who are recognized prophets in Chrisco-Fellowship have had to be trained for over 20 years before they could be trusted to bear to others words of prophecy and claim that those words are from God.

In our fellowship we believe that to err is human.  Prophecies should be in alignment with the principles and examples we find in the Bible.  Those who have been taught by us know that if their prophecy is proven to be wrong they have to take responsibility and must publicly apologize for missing God and His perfect words because of their own human imperfections.  If such persons do not apologize for their imperfect prophecies, they stand to be corrected, counseled, or even disciplined.  While I flow in the offices of the Apostolic and Prophetic and Teaching ministries, I do not tell those that flow in the prophetic word, what to say.  They have to find their own prophetic revelation from God.  What they are learning to do in these last days is to take time to check their prophecy with leadership, and receive a confirmation from others before they can give a prophecy, especially a "Directional Prophecy"  that directs a person, a group or a nation in a certain way.  Directional prophecies can be very dangerous.  They can bless, and help when they are accurate, but they can discourage and destroy people's faith and confidence when they are inaccurate.  As an individual who flows in the prophetic ministry in Kenya and 14 other African nations, and all over the world, I have sought to major in teaching my prophetic vision instead of just bluntly making statements about what God wants to do in the future.  Hence I have taught my prophetic vision in Kenya for about 30 years.  I have been teaching, building and doing what God has shown me, to prove that the vision is real, instead of just prophesying and giving words that are not backed up by prophetic action or fruition or evidence.

In 1Chorinthians Chapter 14, Paul the Apostle encourages the brethren to submit their prophecies to other Prophets that are present who can judge the soundness of their prophecy.  (1Chorinthians 14:23-33).  I am personally looking forward to meeting some of the prophets in Kenya so we can edify and balance each other to help reduce the effects of public confusion created by inaccuracies or even lying prophets.  I normally say, that wrong prophetic words can destroy a group faster than normal imperfect preaching or teaching.

The Earthquake...

Recently there was a prophecy concerning the earthquake that was recently experienced in Kenya.  When I was first told about this prophecy, I declared at a meeting in Nairobi cinema, that although I do not personally know the prophet, but I do not doubt his prophecy.  Although God did not show me the earthquake at that time, I do know that for over 3 decades the Nation's Christian ministers and the Kenyan people have not honestly and deeply repented of their sinful ways like was done in Ninevah, who at Jonah's message in three days time, from the King to the man in the streets, all fasted three days and repented for their sins in a way in which the Bible states, "they all turned from the evil that was in their hearts".  Along with myself and several other foreign voices that have passed through Kenya, until this day we have not seen a deep repentance nationally which in my opinion would have saved Kenya from the horrible bloodshed that is taking place now and was shown to me about 30 years ago.  Because I  knew the Nation was ripe for judgment, I did not doubt the prophecy about the earthquake.  I recently had a dream that the threat of a greater earthquake is yet to come.  I have prayed and continue to pray for mercy; that in God's wrath He would remember mercy (Habakkuk 3:2).  I am always on the side of crying out for mercy (similarly to Abraham, Moses and as Christ did on the cross).  In contrast to many who give prophecies of judgment, belting them out, but never taking the time or care to do whatever it takes to weep and cry out for mercy, even if it takes 30 years, like in my case.  In many ways, this makes me different to most zealous "Prophets" who don't have mercy or compassion in their hearts.  God can speak to almost anyone.  Remember Nebuchadnezzar, Belshazzar, and Pharaoh all received prophetic dreams, but that did not make them Prophets or even men of God.  Prophecy is a very sensitive issue, and should be handled with care, humility and the Fear of God.  Remember, prophets are mere mortal people, they are not God in the flesh.  Even the Apostle James mentions (in Chapter 5) that the Prophet Elijah was a man subject to like passions just as the rest of us are.  Let us honor our present day prophets, respect them, and be thankful for their gift, but let us only worship, fear and reverence God alone. I also feel that those who have prophesied in their flesh about people coming into leadership in the past (especially people from their own tribes) need to publicly apologize because it has damaged the image of Christianity, especially when these prophesies are not fulfilled.

Where I Stand....

Like Other countries that had the opportunity to birth revivals, we have learned that when you miss the revival move of God, which is meant to bring a nation into its divine destiny - judgment follows and many live are lost.  Most of my recent "Revival Times" television programmes on KBC, have been talking about Kingdom qualifications for leadership within the church and in the nation, which from the Bible states that those who have these character qualities relevant to the Kingdom of God are more suitable to head a church or a nation.  Like Christ, the first sign of a good Leader (in church or politics) is their ability to show that they love the people more than personal gain or their position of authority.

It is my continuous prayer not for judgment, but for mercy; but there must be change in the hearts of the Kenyans and especially Christians towards their commitment to God, and their decision to not be tribal in Spiritual or political matters.  (2Chronicles 7:14, If my people who are called by name shall humble themselves and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and forgive their sin and heal their land).  Heal the land basically means from all its sinfulness, evil, prejudice, tribalism and killing.  It's not just healing the ground but the heart of the people.  In this verse from the Bible we see that the key is in the hands of the Christians, hence we must admit, especially from the pulpit, that we have greatly failed God in not maintaining purity of heart or unity amongst ourselves.   We must show an example of true Christ-likeness to unbelievers.

Repentance and Revival...

Lord forgive us all!  Too many of us have copied the priorities of Western Churches in pursuing money, material things and church positions more than seeking to be like Christ who came to love, and die for and serve all tribes and races.  When the churches are unified with Christ-Like Love, then the politicians and the rest of Kenya will quickly get right with God.  Jesus said, by this shall all men know that you are my disciples, because you have love for one another (irrespective of tribe, race or social standing).  Judgment begins in the house of God, not in parliament (1Peter 4:17-18).  Let us repent of our ways and begin to make a immediate difference to rescue this great nation with a great destiny.   A divided clergy cannot unite a divided nation.  Only True repentance brings True revival. I and my family love all the tribes and races in Kenya, and have proven it for 30 years.
